4 Types of Hypnosis

You may have seen an entertaining hypnosis show before in person or on TV. That's called Stage Hypnosis - and  that's not what we do here.  So if you're worried that hypnosis will have you clucking like a chicken or that you won't be in control of your own mind, please read the facts & myths section at the bottom of this page.  Stage hypnosis is fun, but fun is its only function.

Meditation -vs- Hypnosis

Meditation & Hypnosis: What's the difference?

 

Hypnosis & meditation are similar. Both involve an altered state of consciousness (often called a trance state) but there are differences.

 

Meditation is focused primarily on awareness, observation, exploration, and discovery.

 

Hypnosis has many of those same elements and also layers in suggestions - directions for the subconscious mind that are geared toward change.
